M3 live at Earls Court, London

M3 'Classic Whitesnake' played a rare London gig at Earls Court on Monday August 7th as part of The Great British Beer Festival.

Bernie Marsden, Micky Moody and Neil Murray were joined by vocalist Stefan Bergrren, Jimmy Copley on drums and Mark Stanway on keyboards.

The setlist was: Walking In The Shadow Of The Blues, Don’t Break My Heart Again, Lonely Days Lonely Nights, Trouble, Slow & Easy ~ (piss break) ~ Ready & Willing, Ain’t Gonna Cry No More, Crying In The Rain, Ain’t No Love.., Fool For Your Loving, Here I Go Again.

The band seemed to go down well, attracting a lot of interest, and appeared to enjoy themselves. I suspect a lot of the audience (including myself) would have seen them in their heyday around the late 1970s / early 1980s.

Bernie Marsden played some of the tracks on acoustic guitar while Moody played some of his excellent slide guitar. Vocalist Bergrren, who has sung with the previous reincarnations of the band (Company of Snakes etc) made a good front man, lots of energy and a voice to go with it.

The band suited the occasion well (i.e. lots of beer!). It would be good to see them play more London venues in the near future.
