DEEP PURPLE Mk 2 (1969-1973)
Deep Purple / LIVE IN AACHEN 1970 / PUR 252 DLD
Recorded on the first day of a three day open-air festival at Aachen
Reiterstadion, Soers, Germany, July 10. 1970, with the group playing
a set of extended numbers, two of which had been in the Mk 1 set.
There was also their cover of The Rolling Stones riff to Paint It
Black, plus their just released single Black Night, which was soon a
chart hit. This recording was famously bootlegged as H-Bomb, one of
the very first rock bootlegs, and is a raw, exciting example of the
band's early In Rock-era show.
1 - Wring That Neck
2 - Black Night
3 - Paint It Black
4 - Mandrake Root
